Demi had a very exciting adventure in coming to us when she was just 10 weeks old. She rode 35 miles to DH's work in the engine compartment of a coworker's truck. DH saw her jump down from the truck and run into the bushes. DH walked over and grabbed her - then called me to tell me we'd been adopted by a little black and white kitten.

When DH brought her home and we cleaned her up we found out that she wasn't really black and white, but a pure white long haired cat - the black was the oil she was covered in.

Since that adventure, and growing up with Bandit (bit*h cat from hell) Demi has been extremely shy. She is the most gorgeous cat I've ever seen, but nobody else ever gets to see her - she runs for cover the minute anyone comes in the front door. Demi is 6 years old now, but she was even afraid of 6-week-old Sammy when we brought Sammy home!
